WHAT HAS MAY WROUGHT ?

MAY 2006

Cinco De Mayo found me at Keilty’s in Waterford for a better than expected night of solo work. I met a young TV reporter from the Fox affiliate in Binghamton. She had recently quit after realizing that TV news work pays minimum wage with out the respect of a fast food job. While I was in Waterford, Jimmy and Nick called from Albany to just remind me that they were having more fun than me. Jimmy had so much fun that the next day he and I were slated to entertain at a New Scotland Ave merchant association fete and he looked a little green around the gills. The show came off in between the rain drops and the Mayor, police chief and other pols showed to provide the much needed star power.
On Friday, May 12 we debuted the band at Yani’s Too at the Coeymans Marina. The night was a rainy miserable weather event that has become common place over the last fortnight. Jimmy filled in on the drums and much fun ensued. The night was capped with a late night Fountain meal with Nick and Jimmy.
Friday May 19 had a last minute gig at McGeary’s with the Jimmy Kelly band. The line up changed 5 times before the first song and the final list of players included, Bobby van Detta on bass his buddy Bob on drums and Jimmy and me on guitars. The room was full on pretty young med grads and was a sight to behold. Jimmy stepped up to revel the inner rock star that lurks in us all.
Memorial day weekend begins with a Thursday evening (6pm) solo spot for me at the Union Inn in Schenectady. This is the first time in this room and if all works out I’ll bring the band in for a show. Saturday May 27 the four piece line up featuring Kenny on drums , Nick on bass and Jimmy and himself on the guitars. We will be appearing at JJ Maddens in Slingerlands. We played the grand opening back in March but will bring the big rock and roll show this time to celebrate the opening weekend of the summer season.
Check the dates page of the web site for all the times, locations and phone numbers.
Also the entire summer schedule will be up and available for you to plan your life around.

Peace and Love , Geo
